For its 2024 model arriving this summer, Acura will offer the Integra in a Type S version, which is the name the Japanese manufacturer gives to the sporty and high-performance versions of its vehicles.

The Integra Type S will offer a 2.0 L 4-cylinder engine, borrowed from the Honda Civic Type R.
We don’t have access yet to the specific details on the engine’s power, but the manufacturer promised that it would deliver above 300 horsepower.
In the Civic Type R, the engine generated 315 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. The Integra Type S should offer a similar or better performance than its cousin.
The Integra Type S will be running on a 6-speed manual transmission, like the Elite A-Spec version of the 2023 Integra. Front-wheel drive will be standard on this 2024 Acura car and all its trim levels.
The Type S also comes with a limited-slip differential, so that you can make the most of its power, while driving a vehicle that can easily handle the sometimes difficult roads of Quebec.
The new Integra Type S comes with many elements in its exterior design that gives it a more dynamic look than its previous generations.
First, it’s difficult to miss the various additions to the Acura Integra’s exterior style, like:
Three exhaust pipes
Side skirts diffusers
Brembo calipers behind the wheels’ large rims.
Moreover, the front bumper was also redesigned, and now includes larger air intakes and a shiny black finish, all of which offers a wonderful contrast to the white model of the Integra Type S that the manufacturer showed recently.
Thanks to these various adjustments, the look of the Type S easily lets you guess its greater athletic and dynamic capacities. It’s also clear that the Type S keeps everything that makes the Integra a car that is pleasant to look at and drive!
The Type S remains an Integra, even if it offers more power under its hood. That’s why it offers various amenities inside its cabin. The Integra’s 2023 model already offers:
7-inch central display, with a 9-inch version optional
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration
ELS upscale stereo system with 16 speakers
And much more!
For the 2024 versions, including the Type S, we can certainly expect other equipment, but information on the accessories that will be offered is not yet available. We can easily believe there’ll be additional accessories to cement the Type S’ status as a superior version of the Integra.
In addition, the 2023 Integra is one of the four Acura cars that have received the Top Safety Pick+ award by the IIHS. You can trust the Japanese manufacturer to offer you a vehicle in which you don’t have to worry about your comfort and security.
Acura Canada hasn’t given us an idea of the 2024 Acura Integra prices yet, or of the price of the Type S. However, the 2023 model of the Integra is available starting at $36,825, which can go up to $45,025 if you go for the Elite-A-Spec version.
If we look at the current market, it wouldn’t be surprising if the 2024 Integra Type S went for around $50,000. At that price, it compares favourably with its cousin, the Honda Civic Type R.
