Like its predecessors before it, the 2018 Acura TLX is a car that will not leave anyone indifferent. The diamond grille in the front – which has been Acura’s signature for a long time now - has been redesigned to further refine this symbolicdistinction. The finely crafted LED headlights also benefited from a stylistic change aimed to bring their appearancecloser to real jewels’. The cabin is luxurious and comes with ambient lighting, comfortable, partly because the seats have been redesigned and are now made from Milano leather, and well-equipped. Naturally, the 2018 Acura TLX doesn’t come short on performance either. The 2018 Acura TLX comes with a 6-cylinder, 3.5-liter VTEC engine with direct injection that can produce around 290 HP. This engine is paired with a dual clutch 8-speed automatic transmission, the first ever to include a torque converter.
No one will dispute that 3-Series BMW are nice to look at and pleasant to drive, but the performance of the 330i’s 2-liter, inline-4 engine is nothing to write home about compared to the TLX’s, and it still consumes more fuel! Worse, the 330i doesn’t come stock with LED headlights or a sunroof, 2 standard features on TLX. Unfortunately, these are not the only elements missing on the 330i: if having 2 infotainment touchscreens, a sound active control system and a rear camera is just business as usual for TLX owners, these features are optional or lacking in its German counterpart. It seems that luxury and performance are only mere slogans used to boost prices, for some (because despite all that, the 330i is still more expensive than the TLX!)
The 2018 Acura TLX is not just another sedan, it’s THE luxurious and performance sedan. Don’t waste any second and go to, your Acura car dealer on the North Shore, near Montreal, you won’t be disappointed.
