The New Generation of Acura TLX Is on Its Way!
In Tokyo, Japanese engineers and designers are having a blast creating their most prominent sports sedan in the luxury vehicle market. Indeed, the next generation Acura TLX promises to be spectacular with innovations only the Japanese know how to make when it comes to developing new vehicles. Already, the Japanese automaker claims that the 2021 TLX will be "the fastest, most maneuverable and best-equipped sports sedan in the brand's history.”
Acura Laval, this exceptional dealership just minutes from Montreal, Terrebonne, Sainte-Thérèse, Boisbriand and Saint-Eustache, is getting ready and invites us to discover this all-new sports sedan.
A Spectacular Sports Sedan!
As mentioned, the new 2021 TLX will be the fastest, most maneuverable and best-equipped sports sedan in Acura's history, with the Type S being the pinnacle of performance with renewed adaptations, comfort and power on the road.
When we take a closer look, the all-new TLX's exterior pays tribute to the futuristic styling of Acura's precision concept, which emphasizes high-contrast details and the intersection of modern, transparent surfaces with muscular organic sculptures. The Acura precision concept emphasizes performance and prestige with its low, wide stance, long dash/axle ratio, deeply sculpted surfaces and a new Diamond Pentagon grille.
Even more spectacular, the new Acura TLX is inspired by the brand's S-Type design. It offers a perfect symbiosis between driver and car, an unprecedented harmony that only Acura knows how to achieve. What's more, you'll quickly notice the TLX's wide rear silhouette and imposing stance, with muscular curves, large-diameter quad exhaust outlets, rear diffuser curves and other S-type performance features.
It should also be noted that the new TLX will perform at its best with an all-new 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 engine. It's an engine that borrows several technologies from the NSX. This power-plant promises to produce 50 percent more torque than the current 3.5-litre V6. What's more, we'll be dealing with an Acura that's downright different in terms of dimensions. The Japanese automaker is announcing a sedan that's longer, lower and wider than the previous generation. Acura is talking about a 93 mm longer wheelbase and a 15 mm lower roofline. The car has also been widened by 56 mm.
The interior has also been redesigned to be similar to the RDX's, including a cockpit that emphasizes driving, incorporating interesting colour schemes such as subtle touches of red that blend well with the seats in the same shade. In addition, the 2021 TLX contains innovative features such as an automatic climate control system with filtration, side curtain airbags with rollover sensors, automatic door locking, of course, an intelligent braking system, ACC adaptive cruise control with low-speed adjustment and much more.
In short, the new TLX is the latest step in Acura's unwavering commitment to bringing precision performance to life, as evidenced by the second-generation NSX supercar, third-generation RDX, the addition of NSX factory-produced PMC Edition models, the return of Type S performance variants and a new dedicated 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 engine that will make its debut on the TLX Type S.
